Comfort Control and No Cold Feet

Hi Frank:

I just wanted to send you an email to tell you how pleased I was with the way I was treated at your store last weekend. I was going to write you a thank you email last week, but I thought it might be a good idea to go skiing with the new boots first. I made it out to Mont Habitant on the weekend and got the chance to try them out. They were terrific and obviously I found it much easier to ski than with my oversized old boots. Also it was very cold and even with the thin socks I had no problem with cold feet. Thanks again. I will be back! :-)

Best Winter Purchase

The Karbon ski outfit that I bought at Dinardo's is the best winter purchase I have ever made.  I am a keen downhill skier and this clothing has literally changed the way I feel on the ski hill.  The outfit is extremely lightweight - and completely breathable.  Combined with a soft shell as a second layer, I can withstand any weather or wind conditions.  Because the clothing is breathable, I always stay at the same body temperature - never cold (a serious problem in the past) but never too warm or overheated either.  Because I am so comfortable, I can stay out on the ski hill much longer - especially in cold temperatures.  Wearing this stylish, lightweight clothing for the first time, I was extremely sceptical heading out to the slopes.  Maybe it looked good, but how could it possibly keep me warm?  How wrong I was!  Given the exceptional properties of this clothing, I would highly recommend the Karbon system to anyone.

Take care.  Looking forward to a great ski season!  Jenna

Karbon Total Comfort

Hello Frank,

Just wanted to let you know how pleased I am with my new Karbon ski suit.

For years, I've had to wear countless layers of warm clothing under my ski suits (only to still be cold), but not anymore ... My new Karbon ski suit is toasty warm, even when it's -30C outside. My hands and feet don't freeze as they usually do, simply because my core is so very warm in my new Karbon ski suit. It's completely waterproof and windproof also (I've also tested that).

I love to ski when it's really cold outside as the snow is superb and the lift lines are almost non-existent, and now I can do just that in total comfort!

The customer service I received at Dinardos was top notch ... Thanks,
Audrey

Dinardo's is the Best

Dear Frank,

Words cannot express the gratitude we have for the time you spent with us this past weekend. We skied on Saturday night with our new gear and we've never, ever, had so much fun and skied so well. It is amazing what one can do with the proper equipment! I went from what I thought I was a bottom of the ladder intermediate, to a mid to high range intermediate. I would provide the analogy of a marathon runner - try running a race in shoes that are two sizes too big or too small. For the first time ever, my husband worked hard to keep up with me!! Absolutely amazing : )

Your professionalism, patience, knowledge and good humour are a gift. You are not a salesman, you are a passionate skier who wants to see people like me enjoy the sport as much as you do by ensuring I have the right equipment to enhance one's skiing experience.

I would consider myself Dinardo's poster child for why anyone thinking of, or are already skiing, should shop at Dinardo's. They'll get the right equipment the first time because they will be well served by the knowledge you and your staff have. If anyone is having even the slightest doubt they are being given a salesman's line about what they should be purchasing - please have them call me! I can provide many examples of what the impact to my skiing has been by not getting it right the first time.

Dinardo's is to skiing what my hairdresser is to my appearance or my doctor is to my health. Dinardo's is not just the best place to shop, it's the ONLY place to shop. Your prices are competitive with the box stores, moreover, dollar for dollar, Dinardo's is better value because of the knowledge and service one receives - nobody but nobody, comes even close to what you and your staff provide.

I've never been so well served. You listened to what I said, you provided your observations and recommendations and let me decide. I am just thankful that I took your advice!

I wish there were better, bigger words than Thank You that I could use to say Thank You!

A great big hug to you and your staff!

Katherine and Darryl

The Perfect Skis

Through Dinardo's Skis and Wheels, I have discovered that there really is "the perfect ski" for each and every skier.  This is because over a number of years now, they have continuously managed to find "the perfect ski" for me.  Their ability to diagnose the abilities and limits of each individual - coupled with an incredible knowledge of ski performance - results in the ski that is sure to give you the maximum ski experience.  Add to this the personal touch of on hill analysis by the Dinardo team, and you have a formula guaranteed to give each individual the ski equipment that is right for him or her.  I ski regularly at Mont Ste Marie - and often during the winter at Le Massif, Whiteface Mountain at Lake Placid, or Jay Peak - and I know I can always count on my skis - nomatter what the conditions.  I can't say enough about the Dinardo team's individual attention, knowledge of ski equipment, and desire to ensure you have the best ski experience possible.  As in my case, they will take a personal interest in finding "the perfect ski" for you.  Try them!

Canadian Ski Patrol

Dear Frank and Sue,

On behalf of the Mont Sainte Marie Ski Patrol and all of the participants from the Gatineau Zone Ski Patrol, I would like to thank you for your gracious and generous donations to the 2008 Gatineau Zone Ski Patrol First Aid Competition. The Canadian Ski Patrol System is made up of a cadre of dedicated volunteers, on average, dedicating almost 200 hours of their time annually. The individual participation of our members for this competition, both as competitors or organizers demands even more of their personal time. Your contributions allowed us to provide free prizes for our competitors and play a large part in conveying to our members the positive role they play in their community, the industry, and to snow sports in general.

Frank, Sue and the Dinardo’s team, please accept our deepest appreciation to you and your staff for your contributions to our event. Not only were they outstanding, the selected prizes fit the event and were ski oriented. I must admit we were truly able, thanks in large part to your contribution, to show our patrollers that the ski and sport industry recognizes their dedicated volunteer service. I believe that this understanding is important within our community and I thank you for your contribution: it will have a positive and lasting impact on the morale of our dedicated volunteer patrollers.

Your contributions were acknowledged throughout the even in the form of your logo included in our “Welcome Package” and your business being thanked and mentioned throughout the day and evening’s events. My experience to date within the Ski Patrol is that our members appreciate the community’s recognition of their efforts so much so that it will without a doubt benefit your organization through positive word of mouth. Your contributions directly increased the success of our even and with hope, Mont Ste Marie may be invited to host the Division First Aid Competition in the near future.

Please accept our deepest gratitude for your kind donations and for your continued support to our volunteer organization.

Sincerely,

Cathy

Thanks For Your Councel

Dear Frank:

As the trees begin to turn again, I wanted to take a moment to thank you for your significant support and counsel over the past …can it be 15 years already!

As you are aware, I am a virtually lifelong skier, getting my first set of boards when I was 7.  Fisher woods with screw in edges, combined with leather lace up boots and cable bindings! That was the winter of 1961/62 and the enthusiasm I enjoyed from the three foot vertical in my backyard that day has only increased over time.

Fifteen years ago I re-committed to a winter focus on the slopes upon returning to Ottawa, and was fortunate to meet you as part of that process.  Your knowledge of what was out there in equipment, and how those options would be best combined in support of my personal goals, given my skiing ability, set you completely apart from your competition then, as it continues to today.

Four years ago, in my late 40’s, I decided to improve my skiing ability as much as I could before my joints and muscles become the ultimate constraint.  At that point I engaged in the CSIA training program and with dramatic technique improvements found that my equipment began to be the constraint.  Clearly I needed to re-invest to recognize the maximum return.  As a side bar, my weight had dramatically increased over the previous ten years and what better way to address that issue than to use my motivation to ‘skis it off’.

In context, the emergence of parabolic skis design at that point offered a mind boggling range of permutations and combinations in skis length, flex pattern and side cut!  I remember reading all the ‘buyer guide’ information available and coming to a conclusion on what I needed based on those articles.  I then approached you for feedback, and after some questioning you pointed to a pair that you felt would perfectly balance the available technology and my skiing ability. I remember being disappointed that the skis you recommended did NOT match what I thought I needed based on the propaganda review, even though you carried the skis I thought I wanted in your shop.  You backed up your recommendation with a demo offer, and the next day I went on slope, originally trying the skis I thought I wanted.  After a few runs, I came back and tried the ones you recommended and the difference was truly DRAMATIC.  As you may remember, within 24 hours I purchased the boards you recommended from your store, was never more delighted in a skis purchase!

Over the past years few years as I have continued taking CSIA courses, improvements in my skis technique have required setting priorities on equipment upgrades.  In each and every case I have come to rely on your extreme depth of knowledge and recommendations and now, approaching the CSIA level III exam this year I am absolutely confident that the limiting factor is not my equipment. It is it is now all on me!  By the way, ‘skiing it off’ appears to be working as you noted when I was last in the shop,  I am down 60 pounds in the past 4 years.

Thank you so much for your excellent guidance, and no doubt Jackie will be by before Christmas again looking for stocking stuffers (new ski pants this year please).

Have a great season!!!

Sincerely

Steve
