Hi all
What a great test this past Sunday at KK for the WildKart brand.
The setup recommendations from Barrick Racing in Orillia proved to be brilliant! With very easy to duplicate settings for different Driver weights and class weights....
The WildKart SL 28 Sbar turned wherever it was pointed, no oversteer or understeer not too loose or too tight! It took only simple tire pressure adjustments during the day to match the track grip. I was amazed as it out turned and out accelerated all the karts around me at will, and I would attribute that to ( 28mm Sbar ) a free running chassis design, as it had a used thin ring motor with 6 races on it not my good Tim motor. I used the same kart in 6.5 Med and 6.5 Heavy with the addition of 20 lbs and yet the handling was completely consistent.
Unfortunately I missed weight on my Qualifying, otherwise it would have moved me up to a better starting position and let me battle for the podium.
What a surprise it was with Rains on, and although some slower drivers on dry tires held me up,the WildKart's performance was stunning! Once on some clear track I quickly caught the 4th place Kart and with another lap would have been by, easily.
So on the day, and despite being very rusty with no practice or racing in many years I moved up to 5th in 6.5 Heavy at the finish. I would say that it was all my WildKart that moved me to the front as I made plenty of driving errors and overdrove the kart most of the day.
I have another of the 2008 machines with 6.5 thin ring motor(5.5 motor also available) both with 6 races and nice cosmetics, (the one I displayed near the club trailer) for
Only $2999.99 complete!
Anyone interested in buying a WildKart can arrange a test with me, just call the shop 596-0007 or email me.
PS Check the lap times, my WildKart was incredibly fast, first time out with no practice!

Dinardo’s and Karting
Frank’s first kart, pictured here he purchased in 1967. The $110.00 was a big purchase in those days and took all the money he had made cutting grass and shoveling snow for a year. The first time he drove it in a parking lot, (now the Trainyards Development) was an unforgettable day spent with his dad. The kart traveled in the trunk of the family car and turned quite a few heads on the way to its destination. Once there pylons, transformed the lot into an imaginary racecourse. The stage was set for many memorable times karting, for father and son.
Fast forward to 1982 when motorcycle roadracing took Frank’s priority. Many races across Canada and the U.S. honed his racing skills including The 1985 WERA Endurance Championship in the Superbike class. For 23 years Frank ran at the head of his class.
In 2000 Frank and his son Erik “discovered” a kart that had been stored in Grandpa’s garage. Fresh tires, carb overhaul, new oil and a lot of TLC had a machine ready for a new generation. Father and son went off to the parking lot, for a new generation of great memories.
After watching a friend in an NCKC race at Cracow, Frank knew the time had come again.
Machines were purchased for father and son, along with a season’s pass at Quyon. Lot’s of track time followed, with a start in racing as a reward for great, school, year-end marks.
Erik won the Novice Championship the following year, with his dad wrenching, coaching and teaching many of life’s lessons. The following year everyone in the family was racing and having a great time…..
Today, Frank’s successful Ski and Bike shop has expanded to offer the Italian made WildKarts, parts, tires and accessories. With both new and used machines there is equipment to fit every budget.
Come and share the fun, thrill and camaraderie of Kart Racing, at Dinardo’s Skis & Wheels.
